Developer Unfazed By Media Publicity

september 6, 2007

The Malay Mail and The Star were invited to view the site which has since been stripped of most the trees. Zul briefed the media and showed them the plans and previous communications with the council, stressing that the council went ahead without the consent of the residents.

In the midst of the the session with the media, a letter from the council arrived by hand. Letter is an invitation from the council to residents to attend a "sessi bantahan" at the council's office at Tingkat 16, Menara MPAJ n Monday. September 10 at 10.30am. Everyone is encouraged to join this session.

Shortly after the tour given to the press, 3 council officials, Encik Khairil from PR,  Puan Norashikin and Encik Faizal of Bahagian Kejuruteraan arrived, toured the site and talked to the residents. Puan Norashikin confirmed that the clearing of the land was done without permission.

After the crowd had dispersed, work was seen being carried out on the site, with more tree cutting and the installation of lights, possibly to aid night-work.
